Girl Scout Troop 282 kept up its dedication to not only earning merit badges, but also doing a service to its community.
The girls got together and with the help of The Great American Clean-up, they went to work on Colonial Place's very own park and greenway. These 7, 8 & 9 year-old girls put on their gloves, grabbed a bag and for an hour-and-a-half, helped rid the park of trash. The girls also do community service for the local shelter--The Dwelling Place, grow oysters for the Chesapeake Bay, send school kits to Iraqi school children, and still have time to sell those great cookies we all love.
