Recap prepared by Pooya B. Mohit, President of CPRV Civic League
Our September General Members Meeting, hosted at Kingdom Embassy Ministries, was a night full of updates, community highlights, and an inspiring guest speaker. What started as a cozy attending filled up much of the space by the end of the night!
We were honored to welcome Mike Spencer, Head of School at The Hague School, now located in Lamberts Point. With 50 years of experience as a local educator—including his time as Principal at Maury High School, Head of The Williams School in Ghent, and six years teaching abroad in Africa—Mr. Spencer shared The Hague School’s mission and teaching philosophy with our members. His dedication to shaping education in Hampton Roads and beyond was both informative and uplifting.
The meeting also included important board and community updates:
Granby Street Bike Lane Project officially underway
CPRV Community Yard Sale celebrated as a success
Upcoming Social Events to keep neighbors engaged and connected
Neighborhood Safety Report from CRO Collin Dunthorn
Media & Communications Update on our outreach efforts
